Responsibilities and Duties:
Instructional Strategies
Essential duties of this position include the following. Employees in this position perform some or all of the follow tasks. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Follows and maintains knowledge of all District policies and procedures.
2. Ensures adherence to proper procedures in collecting and the disbursing of funds.
3. Completes required paperwork in specified time and manner.
4. Attends fundraising and extra-curricular activities associated with Mock Trial.
5. Assists students with managing behaviors.
6. Supervises students in school settings and at special events.
7. Informs administration of class and student activities.
8. Works to establish and maintain open lines of communication with students and their parents
concerning the progress of their students through conferences, written messages, telephone
calls and/or email.
9. Promptly reports any serious accident or illness affecting students in the teacher's charge or
any incident which might affect the school, teachers or students therein.
10. Takes all responsible precautions to provide for health and safety of the students and to
protect equipment, materials and facilities.
11. Professionally represents the school and the District in interactions with parents, community,
staff and students.
12. Complies with applicable District, state, local and federal laws, rules and regulations.
13. Attends work regularly and is punctual.
14. Works with community to support student-driven community service.
15. Analyzing the case, preparing arguments, practicing roles and presenting
leadership, guidance and instruction against another team. Student Growth and Development
16. Design and conduct recruitment to attract new Mock Trial team members
17. Select, organize, and publish a schedule of competition. This involves responding to or
soliciting invitations to tournaments, designation of a competition calendar, and completion of
appropriate documentation
18. Provides individual and group instruction in preparation for tournament competitions
19. Maintain performance requirements, enforce academic requirements, and verify each
student's eligibility to participate in Mock Trial.
20. Arrange transportation, lodging, and meals for tournaments.
21. Schedule, coordinate, and supervise all fundraising projects.
22. Maintain accurate financial records regarding fundraising activities, and deposit fundraising
monies and receipts with building secretary and Business Manager.
23. Promote good public relations by personal appearance, attitude, and conversation.
24. Serve as a role model for students.
25. Make contacts with the public with tact and diplomacy.
26. Good organizational/leadership skills.

Seasonal extra duty assignment.
